Mirabell Gardens
The “Do-Re-Mi” finale was filmed here, on the steps and around the Pegasus fountain. Free to visit and gorgeous in summer.
Schloss Leopoldskron & Hellbrunn
The lake-facing terrace stood in for the Villa Trapp; the famous glass gazebo (“Sixteen Going on Seventeen”) now stands in the Hellbrunn Palace park.
Nonnberg Abbey
The real abbey where Maria was a novice — and a filming location — sits just below the fortress.
Mondsee
Just outside the city, the basilica at Mondsee is where Maria and the Captain were married on screen.
