Overview

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is one of the great drives of the Alps: 48 km of engineering theatre, 36 numbered hairpin bends and a climb above 2,500 m into the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. We handle the driving — and the road toll — so you can simply watch the world fall away.

At the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe you stand face to face with the Pasterze, Austria’s longest glacier, beneath the country’s highest summit, the Grossglockner (3,798 m). Along the way: marmots whistling in the meadows, the Edelweissspitze viewpoint, and a relaxed stop at the lakeside resort of Zell am See.
